Mastersizer is a laser diffraction sizer with optics designed from the start for Mie theory. Its not something added to a basic detector set; the detector and the lenses are designed together to optimally capture Mie scattering.
There are configurations of optical bench and sample accessory for the sizing of slurries, emulsions or dry powders. To avoid compromise Sprays are now tackled with a dedicated system, the

for reliable submicron sizing by Dynamic light scattering (DLS) and zeta potential by PALS/M3 analysis the Zetasizer Nano series offer achievable high performance in an easy to use system and very compact design. A new accessory - High Concentration Cell to measure zeta potential at concentrations up to 40%* and also to obtain the optimum in stability for lower concentration samples. The design minimises the sample volume required and also the heat that the sample is exposed to during measurement and as such it is ideal for delicate and precious samples. The cell is compatible with the Zetasizer Nano platform and is reusable as it can be easily taken apart and cleaned. |

- Zetasizer Nano is very much the gold standard in DLS with sizing from 0.6 nm and powerful software.
