Biolin Scientific are an expanding Scandinavian company that hold a group of products used in nanotechnology and material characterisation.  Some of these may be well know to you and some may be new...but several of them have a  history in instrument technology and are well regarded by their customers. KSV Instruments in Sweden originated with KSV Chemicals in the 1980's and their needs to characterise their own products; while NIMA Technologies in the UK were developing similar products in parallel. KSV now represent the Langmuir Blodgett trough and film technology parts of Biolin, with other specialist techniques as well ( SPR, Interfacial Rheology and PMIR). Attension is a new brand offering the Tensiometry and Contact Angle technologies of KSV for Biolin. The brands and technologies that Particular Sciences represent are shown to the right. Biolin Scientific also own Qsense (real time interface characterisation) and Oostell (implant stability testing) which is distributed by other channels.
